Coffee Tables

A coffee table is the one piece in a living room that gets judged by how it works, not how it looks. Three decisions settle it: one table or a group, the height against your sofa seat, and the reach.

One table or a group

A single large top — Compasso with its stacked horizontal bands, Lola drawn for the length of a long sofa, Myra in plain marble — gives you one surface and one clean line. A group gives you flexibility instead: Olivia in four diameters, Happy as a set of three, Anilla as one large and two small marble rounds, Sienna in three diameters. Ordinate's nesting side tables take the floor space of one and give the surface of three. Moon is a set of leather-wrapped semicircles that pair into a full circle and separate again. Cube-Frey and Balance each pair a heavy piece that holds the room with a light one made to move.

Height and reach

A coffee table is comfortable at or just below the height of your sofa seat, and about 35 to 45 cm away from it — close enough to reach a cup without standing up, far enough to walk past. Turtle is drawn around exactly that problem: the shell-shaped top reaches out over its base, so the base tucks under the sofa while the surface comes to you. Estro gives two heights in one piece, with a raised round top at one end, and moves on castors.

Materials, and what each one costs you

Marble gives weight and a surface that will not scratch, with veining unique to the slab — and it is porous, so an unsealed top marks. Glass disappears and keeps a small room open, but shows every fingerprint. Wood is the forgiving one, and on Charlotte the grain is the whole design. Leather-wrapped bases — Coin, Monica — can be cut from the same hide as your sofa, which no bought-in table can do. Brass and metal appear as inlay flush into the body on Platia, as a rhythm of uprights on Lavor, and as the whole visible structure on Savanna and Flippo.

How ordering works

Send the length of your sofa, the seat height and the distance you can give to the walkway. Dimensions, stone selection, timber and metal finish are specified per project. Made in our Istanbul workshop.
