Myra is a symmetrical table with a marble top. There is no detailing on it at all — the form is reduced to clean planes and matched proportions, so the stone is the entire design.
The stone is the piece
On a table this plain, the slab decides everything. Marble is quarried rather than manufactured, so the veining on your table will not be the veining in the photograph, and that is the point: no two Myras are the same. It also means the slab should be chosen rather than ordered sight unseen — ask us what is in stock and we will show you the stone before cutting.
Why symmetry is the hard version
A symmetrical table has nowhere to hide. The two halves are read against each other in a single glance, so a few millimetres of difference in a leg position, an edge thickness or the centring of the top is immediately visible. There is no ornament, no shadow line and no asymmetry to absorb it. That is the whole craft of this piece.
Living with a marble top
Honestly: stone is porous, so wine, oil and citrus will mark an unsealed surface, and the mark is permanent on a pale marble. Sealed, it is a practical everyday surface. We will tell you which stones are forgiving and which are not before you choose, and we would steer a family living room towards a darker, denser marble.
Materials and sizes
Made to order, with material and size both open — the stone, the base material and the dimensions are all specified per project. Tell us the sofa it sits in front of and we will confirm the proportion before quoting.
Where it belongs
A contemporary living room, a hotel suite, a lounge. It suits a plain sofa and a plain floor, because the stone is already the loudest thing in the composition.
