MOON COFFEE TABLE

Leather-wrapped semicircles that pair into a full circle — one set, several arrangements.

Moon is built from semicircles. Each module is a half-round, and two of them pushed together make a full circle — which means the same pieces can be a single round table, two separate half-tables against a wall, or a pair facing each other across a room. The frames are wrapped in leather.

Two halves, several tables

This is the reason to choose Moon over a fixed round table. A circle in the middle of a floor is one arrangement; two half-circles are three or four. Pushed together they read as one piece, with the joint line as part of the design. Split, each half sits flat against a sofa, a wall or a window seat, where a round table would leave a gap behind it.

A leather-wrapped frame

The curved body is upholstered in hide rather than painted or veneered. On a semicircle that is real work: leather has to be eased around a continuous curve without a single pucker, with no piping and no seam to hide behind. It also means the table can be ordered in the same hide as the sofa in front of it, from the same batch — which almost no coffee table can offer.

The top

Glass or marble. Glass keeps the leather base fully visible and the room open; marble makes the table a stone object and gives it weight, with veining unique to the slab. The modules are also made with contrasting tops across the set, so a paired circle can be two materials rather than one. The choice is made with the order.

Materials and sizes

Made to order. Leather shade from any of seventy-six across twelve families, or fabric; top material, finish and diameters specified per project. Genuine leather only; no faux leather is used in any Sitdesign product.

Where it belongs

A contemporary living room, a hotel lounge, a space that gets rearranged. It is at its best in front of a leather sofa in the same hide.
