BRAVO BED

Bravo is the bed you can have in leather. A tall headboard divided into vertical panels, 405 × 216 cm overall and 130 cm high, upholstered in fabric or in hide — and it is the only one of our beds offered either way.

Leather or fabric: not the same bed

In leather a headboard becomes a hard-edged, architectural object: the hide holds the panel lines sharp, it wipes clean — which matters more here than anywhere else, because this is the surface you lean your head against every night — and it changes with use rather than wearing out. In fabric the same bed is softer, quieter and warmer to touch, and a loose open weave will mark where leather would not. Any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families; genuine leather only, no faux leather is used in any Sitdesign product. Your own fabric (COM) is accepted.

Vertical panels across 405 cm

The headboard is divided into vertical panels, which is what stops a four-metre upholstered wall from reading as a single slab — and it is the difficult part: every panel has to be the same width, every division has to run straight from top to bottom, and in leather there is no give at all, so the hide has to be cut and set out before anything is upholstered. Across 405 cm a millimetre per panel becomes a visible drift by the far end.

130 cm

Tall enough to support your head when you sit up to read, and just below Ranger at 134 cm and Tripoli at 135 cm. It will cross a window sill or a dado rail at a metre, so measure the wall height and what is on it first.

Solid wood frame; upholstered headboard in fabric or leather. Overall size as listed: 405 × 216 × 130 cm. Mattress size, material and finish are confirmed with the order, and the hide can be matched to a bench or armchair in the same room, from the same batch. Handcrafted in our Istanbul workshop.

A principal bedroom, a luxury residence, an exclusive suite, a boutique hotel. In leather it is the bed for a room that wants one strong material rather than several soft ones.
