In context
Zoe is wide and low: 94 cm across, 82 cm deep, and only 74 cm high, on a polished steel base. The back is a single fluid curve that slopes rather than stands, and the seat is deliberately slim. It is the lightest-looking chair in our range. Shown in leather.
Low and wide, not tall and deep
Most lounge chairs gain comfort by getting taller. Zoe gets it by getting wider — 94 cm gives room to sit sideways or draw your legs up, while the 74 cm back keeps the chair below the sightline across a room. In an open-plan space that matters: the chair can stand away from a wall, or in front of a window, without closing anything off.
The steel base
Slim polished steel, light but load-bearing, and the reason the chair reads as floating rather than sitting. The leg finish is specified with the order. On a form this low the base is as visible as the upholstery, so it is part of the design rather than something underneath it.
A slim seat has to be right
There is no depth of foam here to absorb a mistake: the seat is shaped rather than stuffed, so the profile has to carry the body on its own. High-density foam over a hand-built frame, with the shaping done to hold that thin line after use rather than sag into it.
Leather or fabric
Any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families, our fabric range, or a fabric you supply yourself. Genuine leather only; no faux leather is used in any Sitdesign product. Stitching and cushion firmness specified at the time of order.
Where it belongs
A modern living room, an executive office, a hotel lounge, a room with a view to protect. It suits a hard floor or a low-pile rug, where the steel base can be seen.
