ROSALINDA SOFA

Rosalinda is a leather sofa made to be seen in leather — the shape is simple enough that the hide is the whole argument. Softly structured back and arms, a clean lower edge, and a surface left plain so the grain and the stitch lines carry the piece. It is shown in two tones, tan and a deeper brown, and they behave like two different sofas.

Tan or brown

The tan version is lighter and more contemporary: the grain is visible, the colour moves under daylight, and it will lighten further at the arm fronts with use. The brown is denser and reads as a classic piece — it hides marks, holds its tone, and anchors a room instead of brightening it. Same frame, same cushioning, two quite different rooms.

How the leather ages

Rosalinda is also made in fabric. Our leather is always genuine; no faux leather goes into any Sitdesign piece. On a plain form like this one the patina is the decoration — the seat and arm fronts gain a sheen, the colour deepens unevenly, and the stitch lines sharpen as the surface relaxes around them. That is the intended end state, not wear.

Construction

Kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled, dried before upholstery. High-resilience foam with a quality spring system in the seat. Leather type, texture and colour are specified at the time of order, from seventy-six shades across twelve leather families, and COM projects are accepted.

Sizes

Produced to order; final dimensions are confirmed per project. Width and seat depth can both be changed, and the back and arm proportions are re-set with them so the sofa stays balanced rather than stretched.

Where it belongs

A living room, a hotel suite, a director's office — anywhere a single piece is expected to set the tone. It pairs easily with wood, brushed metal and stone, and it does not need a second sofa opposite it to look finished.
