NOVA SOFA

Nova is what is left when everything unnecessary is taken away. A straight back, a seat that runs uninterrupted across the full width, and a profile thin enough that the sofa reads as a line rather than a mass. There is no decoration anywhere on it — which means every proportion has to be right, because nothing is there to distract from one that is not.

Why a plain sofa is harder

On a plain form the upholstery has nowhere to hide. A seam that wanders by a millimetre shows along the whole length; a foam edge that softens turns the clean line into a sag. Nova is built on a kiln-dried beech frame with high-resilience foam and a sprung seat, and the seat edge is profiled rather than simply cut — that is what keeps the front line straight after the sofa has been used.

Leather or fabric

Upholstered to order from seventy-six shades across twelve leather families, or from our fabric range. We use genuine leather only. On Nova the material carries the whole piece: a matt leather keeps it architectural, a heavy weave in a pale tone makes the same frame feel domestic and quiet.

Sizes

Nova is produced to order and dimensions are confirmed per project. Tell us the width, depth and seat height your room needs and we will confirm it before quoting.

Where it belongs

Nova suits rooms that are already doing something — a space with a view, strong joinery, or art on the walls. It holds a long wall without competing, and in an open plan it marks the edge of a seating area without closing it off.
