In context
Myra is the one you specify rather than simply choose: the top can be wood, glass or marble — Bruno Perla or Alexander Black — and the frame comes in brass or a satin-coated finish. The body is natural silver oak, and at 224 cm it is also the shortest sideboard in the range.
Three tops, three different pieces
The top is the surface you touch and the one that sets the character. A wood top keeps the piece quiet and all of one material. Marble gives it weight and a surface that will not scratch, with veining unique to the slab — Bruno Perla is the warmer, softer-figured stone, Alexander Black the harder, more graphic one — and both are porous, so an unsealed top will mark. Glass disappears and keeps the silver oak as the only thing you see, but shows every fingerprint. In a dining room that gets used daily we would steer you to stone or wood.
Natural silver oak
Silver oak is pale and cool rather than yellow, which is why it carries a brass frame without the two fighting. On a four-door front the leaves have to be matched so the grain runs continuously across all four doors — with a pale, open-grained timber there is nowhere to hide a mismatch.
224 cm, and why that matters
Most of our sideboards start at 240 cm. At 224 × 47 cm Myra fits a wall the others overrun — between two door openings, inside a chimney breast recess, along the short wall of a dining room. At 78 cm high it stays below standing-work height, which keeps it comfortable under wall art.
Materials and sizes
224 × 47 × 78 cm; made to order, so width and the internal division are set during the order. Top material, stone selection, veneer and metal finish specified per project. Handcrafted in our Istanbul workshop.
Where it belongs
A dining room, a contemporary living room, an elegant office. It is the piece for a project where the other elements are already decided and the sideboard has to be matched to them.
