Lola stands on a cross-shaped base edged in brass. The top is wood, 260 × 105 cm, and underneath the structure crosses beneath the centre of the table rather than standing at the corners — with a fine brass line run along its edges.
A cross under the centre
The load comes down through one intersection instead of four corner points. That does two things: the sections can be slimmer, because the crossing members brace each other, and the whole perimeter of the table stays clear. Chairs slide in anywhere along both sides, both ends are usable, and nobody sits with a leg between their knees — on a 260 cm table, that is what makes ten places real.
The brass edging
A fine metal line follows the edges of the base. It is what keeps a large geometric form from reading as a block: the brass catches light along the crossing members and draws the shape, so the base is legible from across a room. Brass darkens over the years unless lacquered — we will explain both options before the order.
How many it seats
260 × 105 cm seats eight generously or ten comfortably. At 105 cm it is slightly narrower than most of our tables, which buys back walking room behind the chairs — useful in a long, narrow dining room, which is exactly the shape this table suits.
Materials and sizes
Dimensions listed above; made to order, with length, width and height adjustable. The cross is re-drawn to the new size rather than stretched. Wood species, finish and metal tone specified per project.
Where it belongs
A long dining room, a luxury residence, a boutique hotel, a fine-dining room. Our Lola coffee table is drawn in the same language, with the same metal line work.
