Golf is a classical chair without the buttons. The silhouette curves inward from the back round to the arms in one enveloping sweep, and nailhead trim runs along the leading edges — the only applied detail on it. 83 cm wide, 87 cm deep, 90 cm high. Shown in cognac and brown.
The curve instead of tufting
Most traditional chairs get their character from buttoning. Golf gets it from shape: the back and arms are built as one continuous curve, which is harder to upholster because the leather has to be eased around a compound surface with nothing to disguise a pull mark. The result reads as classical from across a room but quiet up close, which is why it works in a modern interior where a tufted chair would not.
Nailhead trim
Set individually by hand along the edges. Spacing is the whole test — placed by eye they drift, and on a curved edge the drift shows immediately. They are also a commitment: the line of studs is what makes this chair read as traditional, so it is not a detail that can be added or removed later.
Enveloping, at 90 cm
A 90 cm back with a deep 87 cm seat holds the shoulders and most of the head, so Golf is comfortable for long sitting. High-density foam keeps the seat usable at that depth; a soft filling hollows in the middle within a year.
Leather
Kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled. Made to order in any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families, or in fabric. Genuine leather only. Leather type, stitching and cushion firmness specified at the time of order.
Where it belongs
A reading corner, a hotel suite, a refined living room, a lounge. It is the classical chair for a room that is not otherwise classical.
