Ego is the soft one. Broad flat arms, deep seats and generous cushions on a 280 cm frame — the same footprint as our Janette sofa, drawn for comfort rather than for tailoring. Shown in brown leather.
Broad arms
The arms are wide and flat on top, which is a comfort decision as much as a visual one: an arm like this is a place to put a book, a glass or an elbow, and it supports the head properly when someone lies along the sofa. It also makes a 280 cm piece look settled rather than long.
Soft, with a limit
The seats are deep and the cushions are plush, but they sit on high-density foam rather than a soft filling — on a sofa this wide a soft core would show a hollow where people sit within a year. The firmness is specified at the time of order, and this is the model where that choice makes the most difference.
Ego or Janette
Identical widths and depths, opposite characters. Janette is tightly tailored with slim arms and reads as architecture; Ego has broad arms and full cushions and reads as a comfortable sofa. Same room, same wall, two different answers — worth knowing before choosing.
Construction
Kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled and dried before upholstery. Upholstered to order in any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families, or in fabric; stitching and cushion firmness specified with the order. Leather is always genuine.
Sizes
Three widths, listed above, all 98 cm deep and 75 cm high. The two-seater is 200 cm, a genuine step down from the three rather than a near-copy of it. All adjustable per project.
Where it belongs
A family living room, a hotel suite, a lounge where people stay a while. It is a sofa for sitting in, and it should be chosen on that basis.
