In context
Diamante is the shallow one: 240 cm long but only 45 cm deep and 75 cm high — the lowest and the slimmest sideboard in this range. Black wood veneer against a golden bronze metal frame and legs.
45 cm deep
This is the number to check before anything else. Most of our sideboards are 47 to 52 cm deep; at 45 cm Diamante gives back several centimetres of floor, which is what decides whether a dining room still has a comfortable walkway behind the chairs. The trade-off is honest: a shallower carcass holds less, and large serving dishes may not sit front to back.
75 cm: the lowest in the range
At 75 cm the top sits below standing-work height, which makes Diamante a horizontal line rather than a working surface — the right choice under a large picture or a run of wall art, where a 85 or 90 cm piece would crowd what hangs above it. If you want to serve from the top, Merlin at 85 cm or Lavor at 90 cm is the piece.
Black veneer on golden bronze
A black finish is the least forgiving surface in furniture: it shows every ripple in the substrate and every dust mark, so the panels have to be flat and the lay-up has to be clean before any lacquer goes on. The golden bronze frame is what keeps the piece from reading as a dark block, and because the body stands clear of the floor on the metal base, the floor under it can be cleaned.
Materials and sizes
240 × 45 × 75 cm; kiln-dried wooden body with a black veneer. Made to order, so length and the internal division are set during the order. Veneer, finish and metal finish specified per project. Handcrafted in our Istanbul workshop.
Where it belongs
A modern dining room, a living room wall under art, a restaurant, an office. It is the sideboard for a room that is tighter than it looks on the plan.
