In context
Commodore is the upright one. The back is carried to 83 cm, well above the 75 cm that is usual across the range, with symmetrical arms at a matching height and oversized seat cushions under them. It is a firm, structured sofa built to be sat in rather than sunk into. Shown in dark grey and brown.
A back you can work from
83 cm supports the shoulders and the upper back, which is the difference between a sofa you can sit in for an hour with a laptop or a conversation and one that pushes you into a slouch. That is why this model ends up in executive offices and lounges rather than in family rooms — it is built for the posture people actually use in those spaces.
Symmetrical arms
The arms are the same height as the back and the same profile on both sides, so the sofa reads as a single closed form from any angle. On a piece with this much volume the symmetry does the work that detailing would otherwise have to do; there is no tufting, no piping and no visible leg.
Construction
Kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled and dried before upholstery. High-resilience foam, specified firm on this model to hold the upright line — a soft filling under an 83 cm back makes the sitter slide forward out of the support.
Leather or fabric
Any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families, or fabric. Leather is always genuine. Stitching and cushion configuration specified at the time of order; COM projects accepted.
Sizes
Three standard widths, listed above. The two-seater is 225 cm — only 20 cm narrower than the three. All dimensions adjustable per project.
Where it belongs
An executive office, a boardroom anteroom, a hotel lobby, a formal sitting room. It needs wall height behind it; under a low window the tall back looks cramped.
