Berkley is the big low one: 95 cm wide, 100 cm deep — the deepest seat in our armchair range — with a 70 cm back and turned wooden legs under it. The proportions are closer to half a sofa than to an accent chair. Shown in dark brown, brown and cognac.
100 cm of depth
That is full sofa depth in a single chair, and it changes how it is used: you sit right back into it with your legs up, not upright with your feet down. The 70 cm back is deliberately low to match — a tall back over a seat this deep would push you forward and waste the depth. It is a chair for an evening, not for a conversation across a table.
Turned legs on a modern proportion
The legs are turned on a lathe one at a time, a traditional detail on an otherwise relaxed, low form. They also lift the chair visually, which matters at this size: a 95 by 100 cm chair sitting flat on the floor would read as a block.
Deep cushions that stay usable
The seat is plush but built on high-density foam. At 100 cm deep that is not optional — a soft filling hollows in the middle within a year and a seat this deep then stops supporting you anywhere. Kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled and dried before upholstery.
Leather
Made to order in any of seventy-six shades across twelve leather families, or in fabric. Genuine leather only; no faux leather is used in any Sitdesign product. Leather type, stitching and cushion firmness specified at the time of order.
Where it belongs
A living room with floor to spare, a reading corner, a boutique lounge, a hotel suite. It needs room in front of it — at 100 cm deep a coffee table has to sit well out.
