Apollo is the widest armchair we make: 95 cm across, with a gently curved back that wraps the full width and slim metal legs under it. At that width it is closer to a chair and a half than a conventional armchair. Shown in dark brown, brown, grey and dark grey.
95 cm
Fifteen centimetres wider than a standard lounge chair, which changes how it is used: you can sit sideways in it, draw your legs up, or share it. It also changes the room — one Apollo opposite a sofa balances the arrangement in a way two narrow chairs do not, and it does it without the visual weight of a two-seater.
The curved back and the metal legs
A back curved across 95 cm has to be built as a curved frame, not a flat one bent to shape, and the leather over it has to be cut in panels that meet on the curve without a wrinkle. The legs are metal and slim — thin enough to disappear, and what keeps a chair this wide from looking planted on the floor.
Leather or fabric
High-density foam over a kiln-dried beech frame, hand-assembled. Upholstered to order in any of seventy-six leather shades across twelve families, or in fabric, including a fabric you supply yourself. Genuine leather only. Stitching and cushion firmness specified at the time of order.
Proportions
95 cm wide, 80 cm deep. Adjustable per project — and on this model it is more often narrowed than widened.
Where it belongs
A living room with floor to spare, a hotel suite, a lounge. It needs light under and around it: against a wall in a tight corner the width works against it.
