Yeşilyurt Ev Projesi

An apartment in Yeşilyurt, on the Marmara side of Bakırköy. Sit Design furnished the entrance, the living room and the circulation joinery, designed in 3D and made in our own Istanbul workshop.

The whole flat is built on one decision: a single slab of veined grey marble carried across the living room wall, with a linear fireplace cut into it. Everything else defers to that — a pale grey corner sofa, a low timber table, a recessed ceiling detail that holds the light in a continuous line rather than in fittings.

Opposite, the media wall is fitted joinery in the same grey family: a dark timber base unit under a panelled surround with brushed metal reveals. The entrance and the corridor beyond carry two slim consoles in dark lacquer — one under a gilt sunburst mirror, one against the marble return — so the hallway reads as a designed room rather than a passage.
