Yalı Ataköy Projesi

On Istanbul's Marmara shoreline, Yalı Ataköy is one of the city's most sought-after coastal developments — and the setting for one of our most complete residential commissions. Sit Design delivered this apartment as a turnkey project: the entrance hall, the living and dining areas, the television lounge and every bedroom, designed in 3D and handcrafted in our own Istanbul workshop.

The sea set the palette. Light moves through these apartments all day, so the scheme stays deliberately quiet — pale upholstery, warm oak, brushed brass and marble underfoot — and lets the water hold the eye. The entrance establishes that restraint immediately: fluted wood panelling, a full-height mirror, a single upholstered bench, nothing competing for attention.

In the main living room the Semerkand corner sectional follows the glazing, arranged around a low upholstered ottoman table so the seating faces the view rather than the room. The adjoining lounge turns darker and more architectural — smoked oak panelling, backlit display niches, a television set into a bookmatched veneer panel — giving the apartment two distinct moods within one material language.

The bedrooms repeat the idea at a softer volume. Channel-tufted headboards run the full width of each wall, slender brass pendants replace bedside lamps, and the built-in dressing units are finished in the same oak as the living spaces, so the apartment reads as one continuous piece of work rather than a set of separate rooms.
