Öznur Uysal is one of Turkey’s first female furniture exporters and a trailblazingentrepreneur in the industry. Her journey began at the age of 18 in the Netherlands,where she launched her first business with a single sewing machine. Within a fewyears, she became one of the country’s top 25 furniture manufacturers.

In 1993, she relocated production to Turkey and founded Sitdesing, becoming the first woman to export leather sofas from Turkey. Today, her company exports to over 12 countries and specializes in custom, project-based furniture production.

With nearly 40 years of experience in design, manufacturing, and international trade, Öznur Uysal has built a respected brand based on quality, innovation, and sustainability. Known as the “big sister” of the furniture sector, she continues to inspire new generations of entrepreneurs—especially women—with her vision, resilience, and leadership.
