MODERN CLASSICS REDEFINED

A TIMELESS STATEMENT INFLORYA

Design Story

In the prestigious neighborhood of Florya, Istanbul, SD Studio brought together tradition andmodernism in a seamless balance for a luxury residential project. The living area wasenvisioned as atimeless lounging space, combining two signature seating pieces—the Chesterfield and Bravo sofas—to create a space that feels both familiar and forward-thinking.

Entrance Area

This project reflects SD Studio’s ongoing philosophy: designingspecial places for special people, where elegance is never compromised by comfort.

Project Q&A.

The goal was to blend classic sophistication with modern comfort—bringing tradition into a fresh, livable context.

A soft, neutral base set the tone, while green was strategically used to introduce contrast, personality, and a sense of harmony with nature.

The mix of iconic design elements (like the Chesterfield), high-quality natural materials, and a neutral yet rich palette all contribute to a space that transcends trends.

Living Room

In the main living space, the heart of the home, a sense of elegance and serenity wasestablished through the thoughtful use ofsoft lines, neutral tones, andnatural textures. To introduce a dynamic contrast, deep green accentswere added—particularly in walldetails and accessories—offering a fresh, bold twist to the tranquil base palette.Anintegrated lighting conceptand carefully selected accessories helped create depthand dimension in the space, while the timeless beauty of theChesterfieldand the sleeklines of theBravo sofabrought balance between classic and contemporary.

FOUDNER TALK ABOUT THE PROJECT

Öznur Uysal

Thoughts from Project Owner

“In Florya, we aimed to design a home that felt timeless, but also alive—where every detail speaks to both memory and modernity. The Chesterfield was a deliberate nod to tradition, while the Bravo sofa grounded the space in the now. I believe in creating spaces that people emotionally connect with, and this project became one of those rare designs that feel both nostalgic and new. Seeing the finished space, I was proud—not just of the work, but of the feeling it created.”
